Carlsbad is a community with near perfect weather and two world class resorts. “Lego Land” theme park and “Avira” golf course and spa. The city has a commuter train, great bus service and the busiest single-runway airport in the nation. Carlsbad is a great place to live, with miles of beaches, a wide variety of housing options, terrific shopping and excellent schools.

The community maintains a large portion of the city’s land as “Open Space” and uses the natural surroundings to retain the city’s small town charm. Carlsbad has a low crime rate, wonderful ocean breezes and excellent schools. People are surprised to find out that most of the beaches on Carlsbad’s coastline are owned and operated by California State Parks Department, who provide lifeguard services, restrooms, picnic areas and parking lots.

“Fortune” magazine rated Carlsbad as on of the nations five best places to retire. That being said, the city has relatively young population with a median age of 32 and 78 percent of residents under 55. The weather is typical of our coastal regions of Southern California with mild winters and pleasant summers. The revitalized “Carlsbad Village” sits on a bluff overlooking miles of beautiful beaches and offers several dining and entertainment opportunities. The flower fields in Carlsbad are a popular destination for visitors.
