Maggie Stewart moved to Fallbrook in 1992 to her forever home by way of Temecula, Mammoth Lakes, West LA and New Jersey. She studied Botany at Rutgers and received her Master’s in Environmental Science at Montclair State University. In the mid ‘70s she began her love of entrepreneurship by purchasing a duplex. In 1980 she was involved in building an experimental Solar building that won National Awards. She interned at Grubb and Ellis, Santa Monica and continued her commercial career at Rancon, Temecula. Being surrounded by natural beauty has always been important to Maggie, as a naturalist Ranger in Yosemite, a skier in Mammoth and now for 25 years a home owner on a small grove in Fallbrook. She has raised her two daughters here, Alie and Anya Stewart with her husband Jim Stewart. The natural beauty of this community provides rich subject matter for her oil painting, good friends to share home grown and home cooked meals, trails for hiking and of course interesting and diverse people to share conversations with.
